Once the GC battled had cooled behind, it was time for the remaining break away to get on with the task of trying to win the stage into Lissoire. Using the descent off of the Col de Gvery, Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal-Quick Step) caught Matej Mohoric (Bahrain-Victorious) who had been the first over the climb. As he caught Slovakian, Alaphilippe encouraged him to get onto his wheel. Together they will have a better chance of staying away for the next 137 kilometers. Clearly, that is a long way to hold off the entire peloton, and those chasing from quite a bit closer.
This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $95 USD including shipping, but yes international shipping is both available and extra.
