Tour '26, Stage 2: Take Mine & Go!

With just around fifteen kilometers to go Paul Seixas (Decathlon-CMA CGM) has a flat tire, fortunately his teammate Aurelien Paret-Peintre was right there.  After passing his bike to his team leader, Paret Peintre gently lays Seixas' bike on the road before giving his compatriot a push to get going again.  The bike was a bit large for the leader of Decathlon but it would do until the team car could give him his own spare.  The fans were thrilled to get to see the hope of the French so close up.  Admittedly these are Spanish fans, assuming they are locals, but then the Tour brings people from all over the world to watch the race from the side of the road.

Tour '25, Stage 19: On to the Final Mountain

This is the last mountain stage of this Tour and the peloton of the elite are just now hitting the final climb in the Alps.  Well, actually, the final HC climb of this years' Tour de France.  Jhonatan Narvaez (UAE Team Emirates) looks back to make sure his team leader, Tadej Pogacar is still on his wheel.  He is.  Right on the wheel of the Maillot Jaune is Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) wearing the Maillot a Pois on loan from Pogacar.  Vingegaard has little hope of pulling back over four minutes to move into first, conversely, he has little worry that anyone will pull back over four minutes on him either.  The final step of the podium is a different matter altogether.  Massing behind are Aurelien Paret-Peintre (Decathlon-Ag2r-La Mondiale) riding for his team leader, Tobias Johannessen (Uno X-Mobility), and Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost).  The stage ends at the top of this climb up La Plagne, so the final podium will be much clearer at the top in about eighteen kilometers.

Tour de France 23, Stage 4: An American in France

The newly honored road champion of the USA, Quinn Simmons (Lidl-Trek) looks back for his team car during the middle section of Stage 4 of the Tour.  Simmons will be called upon shortly to rev up the pace at the intermediate sprint for his teammate Mads Pedersen.  He would again drop off the pace inorder to go back to pace setting for the finale.  Just ahead of the American champion, Aurelien Paret-Peintre (Ag2r-Citroen) was scurrying to get back onto the tail of the group as the pace began to increase.

Paris Nice, Final Stage: Taking on the Race

It was this group of five were taking the race on.  With today having been set as the final stage, it was a now or never situation.  In the middle is Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick Step) who at this point is the Maillot Jaune Virtuale.  With another 36 K to race, the final 20 being a climb up to Valdeblore la Colmaine, it remains to be seen if the peloton was going to let them all stay away.  Joining the rather popular Frenchman were, Aurelien Paret Peintre (Ag2r La Mondiale), Alberto Bettiol (EF Pro Cycling), Thomas De Gendt (Lotto Soudal) and leading the group the Maillot a Pois of Nicolas Edet (Cofidis).  Edet clearly got back into the group after his mechanical.
