During the course of any Time Trial, there are designated sites where split times are taken, as Domenico Pozzovivo (AG2R) crossed the second split point, he held the best time thus far. He maintained the quality of the run all the way to the top of the Cima Grappa, alas, there were faster guys coming up the mountain behind him.
