In stage 9 of the Giro today, every time the road went down, BMC was on the front, and every time it went up, it was Garmin Sharp with their noses in the wind. I am not sure who the Argyle boys are riding for since Ryder Hesjedal (Garmin Sharp) was one of these on the front along with Nathan Haas (Garmin Sharp). All of the Garmin team lost big time when Dan Martin (Garmin Sharp) crashed in the opening Team Time Trial stage back in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Ryder may be too far back to have a chance of defending his 2012 Giro win but he looked like he or Haas were riding for a stage win.
