Apparently sick of the sprint and stall battles between those vying to wear the Maillot a Pois tomorrow, Ed Theuns (Trek-Segafredo) attack his now former break away companions with around 20 kilometers to go. He was quickly joined by Jeremy Cabot (TotalEnergies). The two traded attacks multiple times before the inevitable catch by the motivated peloton. For Perez and Schelling, they surrendered their hostilities with Schelling holding on to his jersey for another day (at least).
