Mikkel Bjerg (UAE Team Emirates) was burning up the course to Laval Espace Mayene. He was setting best times all of the way and despite the sprinkles of rain in the last kilometer was the new best time at the line. His time of 33 minutes and one and a half seconds would stand until the top riders of the Tour began to finish their day, knocking the Dane out of the top five on the stage.
