Beijing 2022: Skiing for Redemption

I hope Mikaela Shiffrin (USA) isn't offended by the title of this watercolor.  She had a rough start of these Olympic games.  She has skiied off course in the early seconds of both of her marquee events.  Today she tooked to the start gate of the women's Super G.  This is the first time she has ever competed in this event during the Olympics, so she may have been looking to shake out the demons and lay down a complete run in these Games.  While she posted an eighth best time at the bottom of the hill, this was more about getting back on the horse (or skis in this case) than it was about getting on to the podium.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 USD plus shipping, and yes international shipping is available.
