Tour '22, Stage 14: Dreaming of Yellow

Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) is still trying to trade back is Maillot Blanc for a Maillot Jaune.  He attacked at the start of the stage without success.  And then he attacked again on the final climb of the day in Mende.  Everytime Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) was up to the challenge.  The Maillot Jaune was staying glued to the Maillot Blanc as if his jersey depended on it.  It does.  Pogacar even tried to out sprint Vingegaard to the line, but again, he Dane stayed right on the wheel not letting the Slovenian gaining even a single second in his quest to retake yellow.  It was quite the visual to see the climb up from Mende painted a bright yellow.  When viewed from street level every rider was underlit by a bright yellow glow bouncing back up from the yellow street.  I would say it was a yellow brick road, but it was just tarmac.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $90 USD including shipping, and yes, international shipping is available.
