On the way up the Category 1 climb of the Col de la Croix Bob Jungels (Ag2r-Citroen) decided it was time to make his move for stage honors. He looks back over his shoulder to see how much of a gap he has gotten and just what is happening to his erstwhile break away companions. He can see Patrick Konrad (Bora-Hansgrohe) trying to bridge up to him. Perhaps he can see both Wout Van Aert's (Jumbo-Visma) green clad shouders and Simon Geschke (Cofidis) lurking behind the wheel of the Austrian on the German team. He could be quite pleased that the rest of the break didn't seem to be able to follow his surge of pace. Perhaps now that they had gotten rid of the best place man in the General Classification, Rigoberto Uran (EF Education-EasyPost) they may have a chance to stay away from the peloton for the rest of the day.
This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $90 USD including shipping, and yes, international shipping is available.
