Tour, Stage 5: Arms Wide

After being a big part of his teammate Primoz Roglic's victory on a mountain top yesterday, it was Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) who spread his arms wide in victory at the line in Privas. Just missing the victory, but claiming a very close second was Cess Pol (Sunweb).  He honored the work that his team had done but came up about three feet short.  Sam Bennett (Deceuninck-Quick Step) claimed the last step of the podium edging out the now erstwhile Maillot Vert of Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe).  The respective finishes of Bennett and Sagan means that Bennett is now the leader in the sprint competition.  I don't think Sagan has ever lost the Green Jersey once he has pulled it on in any of his previous Tours de France.  As Bob Roll put it, it is appropiate that the Irish Champion will now be wearing the Green Jersey.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available though my website at www.greigleach.com, or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of this post.  Since it is an original it is first come first served.  The painting was created using Yarka St Petersburg watercolors from Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 plus shipping. And yes, international shipping is available.
