Tour '22, Stage 4: Going on the Final Climb

Without Julian Alaphilippe in the Tour this year, it falls to Wout Van Aert (Jumbo Visma) to bring the exciting aggression to this Grand Boucle.  As the peloton reached the final short climb of the day, the Cote du Cap Blanc Nez, Jumbo Visma was pushing the pace.  We soon discovered it was to let Van Aert launch his attack on a soften peloton.  Behind it was only his teammate Jonas Vingegaard and Adam Yates (Ineos-Grenadiers) that were able to come close to holding the wheel of the Maillot Jaune.  With just 10 kilometers to the finish in Calais this was looking like a bold move that may upset the general classification.  However, it does make one wonder what the interworkings of the power structure of Jumbo Visma are.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $90 USD including shipping, and yes international shipping is available.
