While they weren't sprinting for a stage win, both Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) and Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) were fighting for seconds amongst themselves, and over the other GC hopefuls just behind. While Vingegaard didn't out sprint Pogacar yet again, he didn't lose any time either. What he did manage was to put time into everyone else behind him on GC and on the stage. Dropping a further three seconds down the classification were Geraint Thomas and Adam Yates, both on Ineos Grenadiers. On the other hand, with their teammate already finishing second, they increased their lead in the team classification.
Now they can all have a rest day, and so can I (well sort of a rest day for me, and them, too.)
This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above.
