Tour '24, Stage 4: The Race for Second

I truly hope this title does not be come prophetic.  This group of Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-Quickstep), Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates) and Primoz Roglic (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) came in thirty-five seconds after the stage winner and Almeida's teammate Tadej Pogacar.  Another two seconds further back are Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) and Carlos Rodriquez (Ineos-Grenadiers).  Three had started the day equal on time with the new Maillot Jaune, and Roglic had been a few seconds back on the others.  Then there is Almeida who just by virtue of helping his team leader has moved himself up in the general classification.  I do hope that all will still be fighting to win the 111th Tour and switch to racing for the podium.  We won't know until the Individual Time Trial on Stage 7.  For the next two days we can focus on the sprinters and whether Mark Cavendish will get that 35th Tour stage win.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The work sells for $95 USD including shipping, but, yes, international shipping is both available and extra.
